I went to the NEW Compostela Public Market today. It is really going to be a amazing space in the very near future.
The Compostela Public Market is now operational and beginning to see some businesses move in. It was built in the Seafront Reclamation Area and there will be more to come here in the near future. When? Not sure. What is coming? We, I read that a new SM Metro Mall will be built here someday. I definitely don’t know what that means as the article I read was from 2023 I think.
As you can see in the video, this portion is nearlt complete and some portions are already getting occupied. I made my first purchase at the 2 story “Butcher” building, or MEAT Market?
I am not sure what its is called but the food is there and I came home with seafood, chicken, and pork. Not sure they will ever have beef available.
The architecture and incorporation of some open walkable space was a great idea. Another great thing is it is right on the water. The breeze blows in to keep the air fresh and even cool you off a bit.
I am hoping for some food stall or restaurants soon and followed with some seating areas by the water. Heck I would even go there to get a coffee. Maybe they can even have adult beverages and entertainment space in the future. Since there is a transportation hub people can get here and home safely, even if they have some alcohol. Drink safely my friends!
