Grandeur Gardens at USPlantito

At USPlantito.com we are focused on our experiences in and around the Philippines. We like to travel, but mostly live each day with the plants and gardening. In time we will get more information posted here telling you our story or discussing what we are learning. I have found the Philippines to be a great place to learnabout thiings that I just didn’t experience in North-eastern USA. We have some primary sections of the website to focus on Adenium, Bonsai, Orchids and other plants we are keeping here. The next sections are primarily blogging segments to talk about general topics, the Philippines, or our travel experiences. I hope some of this content will be informative or helpful to you.

Our life in the Philippiens

Bringing ideas and information to the web

I currently keep a Facebook page as well as YouTube. They have served different purposes in the past.

I started the YouTube page when an earthquake hit in the northern parts of Cebu island, Philippines. It was my first time with GoFundMe page but it was so hard to get traction without a YouTube page. GoFundme only acepts the videos from a YouTube page, so I needed both in order to share videos to GoFundMe. I will integrate the sites with meaningful content over time, but the earthquake is past and the efforts are widely satisfied by governement teams here in the Philippines. Our emergency action team isnt really needed. Let’s hope it wont be needed again in the future.

I hope you will browse our pages, blogs, and galleries concerning Gardening here in the Philippines or our travel fun. Maybe there is something that helps you, or answers a question you might have. If you already have questions, go over to our Facebook or Instagram pages open for dialog. I think that use of this blogging platform will grow over time.

We just want to be sure to keep USPlantito.com free from spammers and bad actors to the best of our ability. Some intersting features exist in this software so hopefully it wont take me too long to learn how to apply then here.

Adenium propagation is not something I have really understood or tried before. I did get some seeds when I ordered some Obesum plants and so I tried to get them to grow. They did, but what are they? When trying to get seeds from your mature plants, what will be the outcome? I don’t mean… Read more: Adenium Propagation
  • Import plants to the Philippines?
Importing plants was my question. I saw so many plants that I wanted to get into the garden, but finding them in the Philippines was more challenging than I wanted. I am not sure why, but one theory is that importing plants brings with it potentially expensive products if you are commercial. So expensive plants… Read more: Import plants to the Philippines?
  • Rainfall in the Visayas
I remember checking the annual rainfall chart and seeing the seasonal variance between the Feb-May and the other part of the year. We went to asian countries and basically experienced little to no rain while traveling. A pretty good thing for the trip, but not for the garden we left behind. Summer in the Visayas… Read more: Rainfall in the Visayas
