Well, this is a General Gardening page to put our blogs. I think of this as a space where posted information may not directly pertain to a specific plant. It may be more about the garden than a plant. Some of the things I am learning here in the Philippines is that many plants have similar needs regarding substrate, pest treatment, or pots. So many things overlap actually that I don’t want to leave them out.
So, here is general information pertaining to gardening here. Maybe we can show a few things about the tools we use or the things that can be found in our area.
The way people buy and sell plants in the Philippines is definitely different than what I am used to. It takes a bit of learning to not get scammed or get a plant that you didn’t think you were ordering. It is more of an art form here. Take your time.
We don’t have nursery or plant centers here like I visited when living in the USA or even Europe. There are not rows of plants, with price tags, sales shelves, and thins of that sort. Here it is mainly facebook or through online ordering. Buyer beware for sure, as you cant see the plant to be sure it is the right one. Youalso can’t determine how lealthy it is untill it arrives.
Now, maybe somewher else in the Philippines there are large nurseries with hundreds of plants. I am sure that is probably true, it just isn’t something I have found yet. Maybe some day.

Wound sealer, do you use it or no? In the past wound sealer was recommended when pruning plants or when a tree/plant was damaged in a storm or by other causes.
